Let's build your software in Albania

Your message reaches the people who would do the work, not a sales desk. You get a reply within a few hours during Central European business hours, and by the next working day at the latest. That first reply is one of three things: a short list of questions, a proposed 30-minute call, or a rough range if you have already told us enough to give one. If it is not work we should take, we say so in the same reply instead of booking a call to say it later.

Four things get you a useful answer fastest: what the software has to do, who uses it, what it has to connect to (an existing database, an ERP, a payment provider, a tax platform), and when you need it. A budget range is not a weakness to hide. It is what tells us whether to propose the full build, a smaller first version, or nothing at all. A screenshot, the spreadsheet you want to replace, or a link to a product that works the way you want are all more useful than a polished brief.

No, and we do not ask for a signature to produce one. Where the scope is defined, we come back with a fixed price and a delivery window. Where it is still taking shape, we quote a capped discovery phase first, so you can stop after it with a written specification you own and take anywhere. If we cannot price something honestly without seeing your data or your existing system, we tell you that rather than padding the number to cover the unknown.

Our rate band is 35 to 55 EUR per hour, set by the stack, the seniority the work needs, and how much of the specification already exists. Fixed-price work is quoted from the same band. There is no separate account-management line on the invoice, because there is no account manager: you talk to the people writing the code. We will give you a range in writing before you spend anything.

Yes, and before any detail changes hands if you prefer. Tick the NDA box on the form and we attach a mutual NDA to our reply, or send us yours and we will review it. Until one is signed, keep credentials, customer records and anything covered by an existing confidentiality obligation out of the form. Describing the shape of the problem is enough for us to answer.

It is used to answer your enquiry and nothing else. We do not sell it, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not pass it to a third-party sales tool. We keep it for 36 months and delete the technical details sooner. You can ask what we hold, ask for a copy, or ask for deletion at any time by writing to privacy@square.al, and our privacy policy sets out the rest.

In short cycles, each ending in something you can open and use. Code lives in a repository you have access to from the first day, and if the engagement ends, the repository, the infrastructure accounts and the documentation stay with you. We work in your issue tracker or ours, whichever you already use. You get a named person to talk to rather than a ticket queue, and a blunt status note when something slips, which is more useful than a green dashboard.

React, Next.js, Node.js and TypeScript on the web; Flutter and React Native on mobile; Python and .NET on the back end; PostgreSQL and MySQL for data; and AWS, Google Cloud, Azure or DigitalOcean for hosting. We also take over systems somebody else built in these stacks, including ones that have not been touched for a while, which is a large part of what we are asked to do.

We are in Tirana, on Central European Time, so the working day overlaps fully with Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and the rest of the EU, and covers the morning on the east coast of the United States. We work in English, Italian and Albanian, and you can have calls, written updates and documentation in whichever of the three suits your team.

Yes. We build invoicing and point-of-sale software that reports to the central fiscalization platform in Albania: certificate-based authentication, real-time registration of each invoice, and the fiscal identifiers that come back on it. That experience is Albania-specific. If what you need is a certified off-the-shelf fiscal product rather than custom software built to the specification, say so in your first message and we will tell you straight away whether it is us you want.

Paid-advertising management, standalone graphic design, hardware supply, and single-afternoon fixes on somebody else's plugin. We also turn down work where the deadline is already impossible, and work that needs more people than we can staff properly. That is the honest constraint behind every one of these answers, and we would rather decline a project than take it and miss.
