OUR STORY
Started small. Built something real.
Square began in Albania with a simple idea: that a small, focused team with the right mindset can build software that competes with anyone in the world. We didn't start with a pitch deck; we started with a problem.
SunEasy, our first product, was born because beach reservations in Albania were a chaos of phone calls and paper lists. We saw the problem, we built the solution, and 10,000+ users later, it proved our approach works.
Today we build for clients across Albania and Europe, and we bring that same product-minded thinking to every project we touch.

Who founded Square Software, and when?
Square Software was founded in 2023 by Erison Ballasheni and Edmirjano Preçi. The company is registered with the Albanian National Business Centre (QKB) under NIPT M51418039H, with a registration date of 18 February 2025. The registry record is public, so you can verify the legal entity before you sign anything with us.Who will I actually work with?
One of the co-founders stays on your project from the first call through to handover, and you talk directly to the people writing the code. There is no account-manager layer between you and the build. We are a small team by choice, so if a project needs more capacity than we can staff honestly, we tell you before you commit, not halfway through.What happens after I get in touch?
You get a reply the same working day, Monday to Friday. The next step is a short call to go through the problem, the deadline and the budget band. If it looks like a fit, you receive a written scope with phases, assumptions and an estimate. If it is not a fit, we say so on the call instead of sending a proposal anyway.What should I put in a first brief?
The problem you want solved, who does that work today, any fixed deadline, the systems the software has to talk to, and a budget band. Screenshots of your current process are more useful than a specification document. You do not need a technical brief: turning a business problem into a technical scope is part of the job.How do you estimate a project, and what do you charge?
We split the scope into phases, estimate each one in engineering days, and price at 35-55 EUR per hour depending on seniority and the length of the engagement. Every estimate lists what is excluded as plainly as what is included. Where the scope is still unclear we quote a short paid discovery phase first, so you can stop after it with a usable specification in hand.Will you sign an NDA, and who owns the code?
Yes. We sign an NDA before any detailed technical discussion, either yours or ours. You own the source code, the designs and the assets in full, and they transfer on delivery. Where you already have cloud and repository accounts, we build inside them, so nothing important ends up living only with us.How do you handle our data?
We use the least data an engagement needs, keep production credentials out of chat tools, and work against sample or anonymised records whenever a task does not require real ones. Our privacy notice sets out the legal basis, the retention periods and your rights under the GDPR and Albanian law 124/2024 on personal data protection.What technologies do you build with?
React, Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, Python, .NET, Flutter and React Native, with PostgreSQL, Docker and Kubernetes on AWS, GCP, Azure or DigitalOcean. We pick the predictable option wherever it fits. A stack you can still hire for in two years matters more than the newest framework.Do you handle Albanian fiscalization?
Yes, for Albania. We build invoicing and point-of-sale features that submit to the Albanian fiscalization service, including electronic invoices and the certificate handling it requires. This work is jurisdiction-specific: it applies to Albania only, and we do not offer fiscal integrations for other countries.What timezone and languages do you work in?
We work from Tirana in Central European Time, the same office hours as Italy, Germany and the Netherlands, so a question asked in the morning is normally answered the same morning. We work in Albanian, English and Italian.What do you not do?
We do not run advertising campaigns, we do not resell hardware or third-party licences, and we do not bid for work that requires certifications or a team size we do not have. We also decline deadlines that only hold if nothing goes wrong. Hearing no early costs you nothing; hearing it late costs a quarter.
