What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. "Similar technologies" include your browser’s local storage, which can save small pieces of information in the same way. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide aggregate usage statistics.

How we use cookies

Strictly necessary (always active). These are required for the Site to function and to respect your privacy choices. In particular, we store your cookie preference in your browser’s local storage under the key "square_cookie_consent_v1" so we do not ask you again on every visit. This storage contains only your choice (granted or denied) and is not used for tracking. Because it is essential, it does not require consent.

Analytics (optional, only with your consent). We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the Site — for example which pages are most visited and how many visitors we receive. We apply Google Consent Mode: the analytics script may load on the page, but it does not store analytics cookies on your device until you consent. Only if you select "Accept all" does Google Analytics set cookies such as "_ga" and "_ga_<id>" to distinguish visitors. If you reject non-essential cookies, no analytics cookies are stored.

Consent Mode

We implement Google Consent Mode v2. By default, analytics storage is set to "denied" — and advertising storage and personalization signals are denied as well — before the analytics script can store anything. Analytics storage is updated to "granted" only after you accept analytics cookies; the advertising signals remain denied at all times. This means no analytics cookies are placed until you give your consent.

No advertising cookies

We do not use advertising, marketing or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell your personal data. Our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, may provide privacy-friendly, cookieless web analytics that do not store cookies on your device.

Managing your consent

When you first visit the Site, a banner lets you "Accept all" or "Reject non-essential" cookies. You can change your choice at any time by selecting "Cookie settings" in the footer, which re-opens the banner.

You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or remove cookies and clear local storage. Note that blocking strictly necessary storage may affect how the Site remembers your preferences.

Third-party services

Analytics are provided by Google. For more information on how Google processes data, see Google’s Privacy Policy and "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services". Where Cloudflare analytics is used, it is designed to be cookieless and privacy-preserving.
